The DL160’s memory capacity exhibits the true scalability of this dense 1U system, with 24 DDR3 RDIMM slots supporting a maximum of 768GB RAM when both processors are installed - providing ample scope for the most intense multi-tasking requirements and demanding applications.

The HP ProLiant DL160 Gen8 enables a choice of up to eight 2.5” SFF, four 3.5” LFF or one 3.5" LFF (Budget option) SAS, SATA, SSD drives with optical media controlled by a new generation of Smart Array RAID controllers and support for HPE Smart Storage including PCIe 3.0, HPE SmartDrives, and HPE Flash Backed Write Cache with capacity up to 2GB.
